Michael Marth
Hi, my name is Michael Marth, I’m 65 years old and disabled. I’m also a navy veteran.
I bought my mobile home at Eaglecrest in Hamburg, NY back in 1996 with my loving wife at the time it was affordable.
The community has been owned by a predatory real estate speculator, RHP Properties, for the past 7 years. Our rent goes up every year and the maintenance goes down.
I live on a strict budget and could barely survive every month when 90% of my income is going toward all my expenses and yes, there have been times when I’ve worried how much longer before I become homeless.
In my community we go through community managers like water; in the last 2 years we’ve had 3 different ones and these predatory real estate speculators just don’t care as long as we paid our rent and fill their pockets with money.
The maintenance of the roads is horrible and full of pot holes and the trees need to be trimmed or cut down. It’s heart breaking how they don’t do nothing to keep the beauty of the community.
Corporate greedy owners don’t care about the pain and worries that we have to deal with day after day.
These are one of the many real stories of families that are struggling to keep a roof over their heads. We need your support to ensure that families are able to remain in their homes.
