Dottie Grace

I moved into Capital Estates Mobile Home Park in July 2005. I was going through a divorce at the time, and the park was a place where I could afford to live. I soon came to realize that this park had a friendly atmosphere. Management and staff were friendly and going into the office was a pleasant experience.

Unfortunately, all of that changed in June 2021 because of new management. The harassment is so stressful. It’s causing a lot of fear in the neighborhood. There is so much fear of retaliation. I used to wake up in the middle of the night thinking about the manager and all the things she’s done in this park to me and my neighbors, and what she’s done to make this the horrible place it’s become.

I can’t believe there are so many managers like her, who harass, and lie, and make you feel like you’re being spied on. I would like management and ownership to be held accountable for creating all these problems they have caused. They can treat people however they want to, because we’re renting their land. Until laws are changed, they will not be held accountable. I don’t want to move. I just want to live my last years in peace and be treated like I’m a human being.
