Suzanne & Bruce Clevenger

Our names are Suzanne and Bruce Clevenger, and we’ve lived in River Springs MHP for seven years. We’re involved in our community, helping our neighbors get problems fixed, advocating with the village and the township, making sure kids in the community have food. 

It’s hard to say exactly when Homes of America took over – there were the same people with different company names in 2019 and 2021. What we know for sure is things have only gotten worse.

Over the past few years we’ve had over 50 posted water shut offs, not to mention the surprise ones, and we dealt with a month-long boil order. We’ve dealt with sewage backups and open pipes. The pipes are so brittle, they fix one spot, and the next piece breaks. Meanwhile they’re telling us they’re going to start charging us for water and sewer. 

Homes of America is a big company. They knew what they were getting into when they bought this park. Why they didn’t get issues fixed when they bought it, we’ll never know. But their feet dragging and never really fixing the problems, it starts to feel like mental abuse.
